i'll tell you this though, if I had those jigs and templates I could teach myself to build those horns as good or better than what they were.

Nice ad! I never knew that the Santana was the first Altec speaker system to have the four sided finish (the back is oiled walnut like the sides). Paved the way for Model 14's, 15's, 19's, Santana II's, etc......

That factory pic has been over at the LH site for a while... It is of the Tin Shop which were the highest paid employees in the plant.The photo is circa early 1950's I think..As the guy there is making a Tar-Filled 1005.
